Philanthropy

Hi! I am Sophia Lally, the Vice President of Philanthropy and Community service for Alpha Phi! During my term, I will be dedicated to raising funds for the Alpha Phi foundation and awareness for Women’s heart health. I am so excited to get started!

The Alpha Phi foundation uses funds chapters raised to assist in Women’s  heart health research, leadership programs, crisis grants for current members and alumni, and member scholarships. I am looking forward to hosting events such as heart health week to raise awareness and funds towards our philanthropic cause. We already are planning a pilates class, Cophi and Donuts, trivia night, our Heart-thob pageant, and a game with another Greek organization! We also hosted other events open to the Lehigh community such as:  a soccer tournament, Alpha Phifa, Mac n’ Phis, and are planning our annual Red Dress Gala in February!

Philanthropy is the heart of what the ladies of Alpha Phi stand for. These events support an amazing cause, but also allow our chapter to make amazing memories while giving back. We are all bonded by our shared goal of improving the lives of women affected by heart health. I am proud of the work we have done as a chapter and the thousands of dollars we have raised together. This year we have ambitious goals to improve our commitment and service to our philanthropic cause as well as the greater Lehigh community. I am proud to be a part of a group of women so dedicated towards a cause bigger than ourselves!
